New Features in Version 11

CAS genesisWorld – your complete customer relationship management tool – now has a range of new clever features that take over even more of those tiresome day-to-day tasks at work and support processes that help to make your company more profitable. Read on to find out more.

Importing and exporting appointments and addresses

  • You can now import or export appointments and addresses as iCalendar/vCalendar files or vCards, or simply send them directly per e-mail.
  • In Version 11, you can choose the content you want included in the vCard or iCalendar/vCalendar file. For example, if you want to send an address as a vCalendar file, you can choose to send either all or part of the content of the address.
  • Invite external participants to appointments: You can now invite external participants to an appointment – the appointment's iCal file is attached to the e-mail.

Recurrence patterns and recurrences – even more convenience

  • The functions for recurrence patterns have been extensively revised. You can now decide whether you want to change one or more data records in a recurrence pattern, receive notification of overlapping appointments, and so on.
  • Improved recurrence patterns for appointments, tasks, and so on:

    For monthly recurrences you can now also select the "last <Friday> of the month" or "always the <2> workday of the month."

Documents – more creating and editing options

  • Overwriting archive documents: With the "Overwrite archive file" function, you can now also replace archive documents with files of a different data type. For example, you can replace a Microsoft Word document with a PDF document.
  • Converting documents: In CAS genesisWorld you can now convert all Microsoft Office documents to the Office 2007 format.
  • Advanced options for form letters: When creating a form letter in Microsoft Word, you can now use as mail merge fields not only the fields of the linked address but also fields from the document data records and from linked sales opportunities.

E-mails – smart functions


  • Delay sending e-mails

    Company e-mail signature: The administrator can now set a company signature that all employees can add to their own signatures.
     
  • Out-of-office wizard: When users close CAS genesisWorld, the system now checks whether they are on holiday the next day. If so, they are asked if they would like to activate the out-of-office wizard.
     
  • Delayed sending of e-mails: In version 11 you can now delay when e-mail merges are sent by the application server. The progress is recorded and can be viewed by all authorized users.

Usability – even easier to use

  • Parts of the Windows client's interface have been redesigned. For example, the tabs, the partitions between various areas, and color labels of certain areas have been given a new look.
  • Advanced filter conditions: The "Now" option is now available in the navigator or in the advanced search feature. This allows you to view, for example, all support tickets that have been created up to now.
  • In the dashboard you can display date fields with or without the time.
  • Redesigned appearance of opportunities: The appearance of opportunities has been changed to match the appearance in the Sales module. In the new tab, Product items, you can manage and organize products and services.
  • External access for automatically created phone calls: In the Telephony tab in the Settings, you can select the option to set external access rights to "confidential" for all automatically created phone calls.
  • The fields Start, Duration and Phone status are automatically completed in Phone call data records.

Primary links – nothing gets lost

  • When you archive an e-mail, you can include primary links. This is also possible with archive templates.
  • You can define filter conditions in the link wizard. These conditions now also apply if you have entered primary links in the "General" tab.
  • With hierarchical input assistance options, the branches with values are automatically shown. The other branches remain hidden until you open them.

International use – from Shanghai to Moscow

  • New language versions of CAS modules: From version 11, the Project, Helpdesk, and Timeclient online modules will be available in English and all other released languages.
  • Form Designer: Use the Form Designer to design user interfaces easily and make them available in various languages.
  • The Helpdesk module: Available in English from version 11.
